TaylorMade British Open Staff Bag
With the final major of 2019 set to be held in Northern Ireland for the first time since 1951, TaylorMade’s commemorative bag design draws heavy inspiration from the legend of the Giant’s Causeway. Protruding hexagonal columns on the panel and “gateway to the causeway” debossed on the bag’s base represent the large pillars removed by an Irish giant after crossing the North Channel to fight his Scottish adversary. Navy, maroon and gray colors pay tribute to the host course and the limestone-colored surface of Whiterocks Beach, which extends to iconic Dunluce Castle, is prominently symbolized on the bag’s ball pouch. Whiskey enthusiasts will note the multiple references to the continent’s oldest distilled beverage on the interior lining, too.
